Balavica school hosted the annual celebration of Pongal in January 2021!

The school staff created grand decorations of a miniature farm model, sugarcane stems, garlands, Pongal pot and kolams! They gathered together with students to celebrate this festival and to teach students about the harvest festival. The staffed cooked some sweet Pongal in a Pongal paanai (pot) outdoors.

Everyone dressed in traditional attire to this occasion and concluded by enjoying some sweet Pongal!
