Balavica students and staff celebrated major festivals such as Navarathri (Nine Nights), Deepavali (Festival of Lights) and Christmas. Children learned about the significance of the festivals and how people celebrate them.
- During Navarathri, our own President, S. Ganesh, set up three steps of Golu and a model of a farmer and his field! The children observed a short puja conducted by our teachers.
- For Deepavali, the students immensely enjoyed lighting firecrackers with our safe guidance!
- On Christmas, we created a model of Jesus’ birth in a stable, distributed Santa hats to all the students and staff, and celebrated with some songs and a cake!
